A day in the life of a Sales Account Manager
You will sit at the core of sales operations of the Material Handling business line bringing in new business and supporting the order coordination. You will call on customers in search of new business, working closely with the TMP Director of Business Development and TMP Sales Manager. You will work within sales team to execute order processing of sales for customer projects. With cross-functional departments, you will drive multiple tasks in lead up to order release based on sales, engineering, production and customer direction. A normal day in your new role…
Perform project take-offs for customer opportunities and provide customers with quotations
Frequent travel and web meeting to/with customer offices and jobsite locations
Execute order entry functions in conjunction with internal production and engineering team to satisfy customer requirements
Generate submittal and engineering drawing requests for specialized customer requirements for review and approval
Maintain constant organization and tracking of order status throughout project’s lifecycle
Coordinate response to customer’s project changes and technical concerns
Work with customers and TMP scheduling/shipping leads to coordinate product delivery to customer
Be an active member of the team by driving new sales and continuous improvement in processes
What will make you successful?
Your previous roles have prepared you for this new challenge. You are someone who brings a high level of attention to detail. You have a proven experience as a sales professional. You are an ambitious self-starter and you are able to work autonomously while building strong internal relationships.
You have BSc/BA in business administration or in relevant field. Your qualities are seen, heard and observed every day through your words, actions and behaviors. You maintain high-quality standards but can find a balance between quality, flexibility, and timely delivery. Your communication skills are clear and concise.
